Something I know about real friends is that they share their hearts with one another. They inquire of one another’s lives and gain insight and wisdom into what’s in the heart of the other.
Who better to go beyond acquaintance with, than the Lord? Jeremiah may have been in prison, in Jer. 33, but he wasn’t separated from the presence of God. No matter where you’re at in life right now, nothing can separate you from the Lord – except YOU. You disconnect from Him when you ignore, dismiss, and don’t spend time with Him. Want to know God’s heart? Become His friend. Call to Him. He will answer with great, revelatory things about Himself.
