Many have adopted the word the Lord gave Keith and me for 2019 – THE FRUITFUL YEAR! I’m so glad, too. It’s a prophetic word that we should declare over our lives, our churches, our friends, and family. We are entering the last quarter of this year, and I am trusting God to see a fulfillment of His word. Honestly, for every testimony of promotion, pay increase, prodigals returning, and expansion of homes, businesses, and lives, there have been prayer requests of the opposite. Does it mean God is faithful to half of my friends and unfaithful to the other half? Absolutely not! I don’t understand it all, but I do know one thing – GOD IS FAITHFUL. What He said He’ll do, He will do.
The other thing I know, though, is that people are human, we live in a fallen world, and the enemy of our souls is not inactive (as many believe). We are in a spiritual warfare, and we must continue to fight the good fight of faith (I Tim. 6:12). The good fight means we win. Why? Because HE won! I think about Daniel whose prayer was answered the moment he prayed it, but he didn’t see the answer to that prayer until the 21st day (Dan. 10:12-14). Sometimes, prayer is answered via spiritual warfare. So what do we do? We pray. And, we ABIDE in prayer.
Our theme for Fashioned this year is “Abide and Abound”. When you abide in the Lord, you will abound in His presence. Even when the external circumstances are crazy, chaotic, and confusing, you can still abound in peace, joy, and freedom. Psalm 91 declares, “He (or she) who dwells in the secret place of the Most High, will also abide under the shadow of the Almighty.” It goes on to say that with our eyes only will we see the destruction of the wicked, meaning, while we’re tucked up under God’s shadow, there may be craziness all around, but we’ll only see it from a distance. We can rest there, abound there, and be at peace with joy there!
If you’re on the fence about coming to Fashioned this year, just hop on over to the “yes” side. I believe this year is going to be the most prophetic and fruit-producing one we’ve seen, yet. And we’ve seen some incredible ones! I am trusting that as we abide in His presence with other sisters from different states and churches, we will experience the abounding manifestation of God’s love, freedom, healing, and deliverance.
