Last night during our prayer service, I saw so clearly, as if looking through Christ’s eyes, the hearts of each one of us there; they were cracked, dented, pieces missing, and some broken.
I knew we all represented everyone in the church and in the world. The Lord spoke through me and said, “I want to make you whole – let me.” It takes humility on our part, it takes laying bare everything we clutch tightly in order to hide it. But, God sees. He knows the deep gashes and wounds that others have caused, the dents created by beating ourselves up over past guilts and regrets, the bruises and scars the enemy has marked us with because we’ve allowed him to scream and whisper lies – and we believed them, God sees the brokenness caused by lost love or the loss of a child. God sees and He so desires to bring healing. But He cannot take from us what we are not willing to give.
It was a beautiful moment during our prayer service. Several received and responded. Some will need to digest it and mull over it, just as some of you will. But, don’t wait too long, just do it. Open up your arms, let go of the pain, let God make you whole again. I know firsthand, it’s liberating!
