Several years ago, when feeling sorry for myself because life had gotten chaotic, my priorities were a jumbled mess, and even with checklists as long as my backyard, I couldn’t seem to get it together. Everything felt demanding! Family time, personal time, God time, congregation time, church time, work time, EVERY. THING. felt like a burden. I knew this wasn’t right. I knew I had gotten things out of order and boy was I spiraling out of control. One day, in a complete melt down, looking (as they say now) a hot mess, I cried out to God. He said, “Margie, get yourself together. Draw on the glory-grit that’s inside you!” Those words shook me, almost like a slap in the face – but spiritual and good :)! He began showing me some things that led me down the path of discovering the GLORY-GRIT that’s inside me. And guess what? Inside of you, too! It’s been about an eight-year process so far. He continues to lead me down paths of discovery in this area.
So many of my spiritual daughters, peers, and mentees have asked when my next Fashioned Online Study would be. I sensed the Lord speak about 2021, and He also gave me the subject: GRIT AND GRACE. This study will be unique in that I’ll be sharing ministry and personal experiences and more stories than I ever have before in a group or public setting. But, everything will be paralleled by the word of God and what He’s shown me concerning the source of all good things in my life.
An added bonus this time around, I will be joined by my two “oldest” spiritual daughters, Kayla McBrayer and Carla Coggins, as they share personal stories and insights from what they’ve learned while traveling with my husband and I in the ministry around the world for well over a decade.
