“It comes up to come out. Let truth prevail!” – Margie Nix

“The Pandemic of 2020 – Coronavirus”, sounds scary. No doubt, it will go down in the history books as a pandemic that took the world by storm.

I know MANY of you are afraid right now. I know you’re scared of the virus. I know you’re fearful of what tomorrow will hold. I know some of you are hating this forced isolation, social distancing, and limits on gatherings. I know you’re worried about your jobs closing and being laid off. I know some of my fellow business owners are on the verge of tears, and even breakdowns, because you are having to close your doors, or stop production, or close up your creation stations. Some are concerned you may never fully recover from this. Some of you look at your kids and wonder if life will ever be the same for them again. Many of you are living in a ghost town. The streets are empty, businesses closed, sidewalks vacant, everything seems like it’s in slow motion. Some of you have watched your stocks take a plunge, and your emotions are on a roller coaster ride that matches the market. Some of you are angry. You’re angry at God, angry at the government, angry at your bosses, angry at yourself, angry at the current state of things…. just plain angry. Some of you are afraid of going out in public, others are afraid to stay in.

Even Jesus’ closest disciples were terrified when a storm came. They were mortified to find Jesus peacefully resting. In their frantic fear they called on Him. Yes, He rebuked them for their unbelief, but He answered their cries, too! He calmed the storm and they learned a valuable lesson: BELIEVE GOD’S WORD. STAND IN FAITH.

Please let me encourage you. Stay with me. I want to help feed your faith so you can starve your fear.

None of this took God by surprise. He did not cause this pandemic – He did not create the COVID-19.

*He is good. Psalm 84:11 “For the Lord God is a sun and shield; the Lord bestows favor and honor. No good thing does he withhold from those who walk uprightly.”

*He is steadfast and sure. Psalm 25:10 “All the paths of the Lord are steadfast love and faithfulness, for those who keep his covenant and his testimonies.”

*He’s our security. Phil. 4:19, “And my God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.”

*He’s our provider. Matt. 6:33, “But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.”

*He’s our salvation. Heb. 7:25, “Therefore He is able also to save forever those who draw near to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them.”

*He’s our hope. Romans 15:13, “Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that you will abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.”

In shifting and shaking sand, recite HIS word and cling to His hand!

As my husband says, “Stay in the peace-place!” Phil. 4:7
